The Urology Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003 by the Birmingham urologist Dr. Thomas E. Moody. Its purposes are to educate physicians and other medical professionals in new techniques and procedures being used in the field of urology and to provide general patient education and screening for urological diseases free of charge.
For the past 17 years, a large part of our work has been devoted to promoting public awareness about prostate cancer and to providing free prostate cancer screenings across the State of Alabama, especially in underserved areas that are at highest risk. Our goal is simple: to save lives. Please read more about us and how you, too, can help with this important work. Thank you!
The Urology Health Foundation screened 119 men free for prostate cancer at the Monroe County Health Department on August 26, 2023.
The Alabama PHCC will be holding its Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of the UHF and the Mike Slive Foundation on September 8, 2023, at the Timberline Golf Course in Calera, AL.
In 2023 we plan to hold free prostate cancer screenings in at least 10 Alabama counties. Please see our screening calendar for details.
